Marginalized, oppressed, and underserved communities in the United States have never been able to truly rely on state-sponsored, or government funded efforts to support our belonging and wellbeing. We are the answers we have been waiting for. Family Ride envisions a self-sustaining community that is grounded in well-being, joy, cycling, and togetherness. We hope to create a close-knit, intergenerational, multiracial, multicultural family of cyclists that ensure every member is seen, heard, appreciated, valued, and on a bike. We know that biking can be medicine for individuals and collectives, offering an opportunity to recover from day-to-day stress and challenges, to sweat, and to smile outdoors - rain or shine. This Black-led organization seeks to intentionally diversify the cycling community. All shine, no shade!
